Rome

A visit to Rome is one of life's great experiences. It is a city of extraordinary contrasts: between the ancient and the modern and between the sacred and the profane.

Rome's attractions are so numerous, that during a short stay it would be impossible to explore everywhere. There are, however certain priorities. At the heart of the ancient city are the Palatine and Forum, filled with ruined temples, palaces and civic buildings in which figures such as Caesar and Anthony, Augustus and Livia once worshipped, entertained and governed. Unmissable too, is the Colosseum, scene of spectacular and savage entertainments, and the Pantheon, a masterpiece of Roman architecture.
