Ladies Festivals in Deauville
Deauville is undoubtedly the most elegant seaside resort in northern France. Famous for its grand hotels, casino and racecourse, it is a favourite amongst Parisians. Walk along the famous long wooden promenade, sit at one of the many bars or restaurants or chance a few francs at the casino. Deauville is also a shoppers' paradise, with its chic boutiques. Outside the high season (July/ August), the town is a haven of tranquillity.
Alternatively, stay in Trouville, the lively coastal resort next door. The town has an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars, a casino, as well as being a thriving fishing port.
Both Deauville and Trouville make the perfect weekend destination being situated close to many places of historical interest. The delightful city of Rouen - where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake - could also be visited.
Your hotels are the superior 3 star Mercures. Both have excellent facilities. All rooms have private bathroom, colour TV, radio, direct-dial telephone and mini-bar. The function rooms are equally impressive and the food and wine are of a very high standard.
