Ladies Festivals in Ostend

Ostend has its origins in the 15th century as a little fishing village. The city's fortunes have always been linked to the sea and it became a major port in the 18th century. In 1784 an Englishman, William Hesketh, had the brilliant idea of offering visiting beach walkers refreshments. He opened the first refreshment beach tent and thus became the founder of the Ostend tourist industry.

Just 75 mins drive from Calais, and 16 miles from Brugge, Ostend offers something for everybody. It has superb restaurants, bars and cafes, a casino, excellent shopping, a beautiful cathedral, and museums displaying the best of Flemish art.

Stroll along the promenade, have a snack at one of the many fish stalls and sample one of Belgium's multitude of beers at a bar. Your weekend will barely allow you time to see all the sights.

Your hotel is the luxurious 4* Thermae Palace located on the sea front. All rooms have private facilities, colour TV with in-house movie channel and direct-dial telephone. The hotel also has a fitness centre, sauna and solarium. The function rooms are particularly attractive.
