Ladies Festivals in Ghent
Flanders, where the first major towns in Europe emerged during the middle ages, saw the development of Ghent into a city of European significance and, north of the Alps, was surpassed only by Paris.
The city's wealth was founded on the export of luxurious textiles to the rest of Western Europe. Its rich history can be seen from the cathedral of St Bravo and the Castle of the Counts, to the numerous monuments spread throughout the city.
Present day Ghent is an fascinating city. Some of the finest paintings by Flemish and international painters can be see in the Museum of Fine Arts and in the cathedral.
There are so many things to see and do that a weekend will barely be long enough to take in all the major sights.
Your hotel is the 3* Novotel, situated in the city centre. The function room is particularly attractive.
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, colour TV, and direct- dial telephone. Being a city centre hotel, restaurants (over 350 in all!), bars and cafes are all nearby.
